this program is small and at a busy hospital, so it seems like you work near the 80 hour limit.

The faculty I met were incredible! Very friendly and honest, and had clear ideas and objectives about where the program is going.

My Life and Environment

The new hospital is great! the old hospital is nicer than most county facilities that I have been in, but not much special about it. Clinics are moving onto the hospital campus which is nice. Residents seemed to get along great with each other and the attendings. Not a formal, academic feel to the program. Fresno is the catch to this program. if you like smallish (well, it is a large community, but it feels small) farm towns you will like it here. this is NOT the california you imagine when you see Baywatch, so if that is what you are expecting i would keep looking. I like the town, but it does seem to be more a choice of those who have plans to live in the area, or a similar town. Those looking to move to LA or SF will be disappointed.
